When the territorial sea of a country is often marred by the tanker-oil tanker carrying crude oil from some countries to other countries, micro bacteria who live freely in the sea could be used to extract the oil at sea more quickly.

Name of the bio remediation process, which means eliminating pollutants by biological processes. Bio degradation is the decomposition process of oil at sea with biological materials, one with bacteria. Within three years study, it is discovered 182 new species and 53 genera in three areas of the sea territorial which became the main route of tankers, namely the Malacca Strait, Sunda Strait, and the Lombok Strait.

Instead of thinking about materials with chemical substances to clean the sea and ended up re-contaminate, it’s better utilize the wealth of marine bacteria. Fumiyoshi Okazaki, one of the researchers from Japan Nite, presents the research, titled “Diversity and Functional Analysis of Petroleum Hydrocarbon-Degrading Bacterial Communities in Coastal Zones of Indonesia.” The study centered on the Straits of Malacca and Lombok Straits mentions the role of Acinetobacter and Alcanivorax a very dominant role in bio degradation. Natural microbes that are responsible for remediation of oil. The population of bacteria are constantly working and levels of n-Alkanes in constantly also decreased after seven days incubation period.

1. Stop consuming chemicals. All food are conventionally using synthetic pesticides / chemicals, contain residues of chemicals. All types of pesticides are carcinogenic substances (a substance that caused due to burning can stimulate the growth of cancer).

2. To be healthy, at least we can start with what we eat everyday. Because rice (rice) is 60% to 70% of the total that we eat every day, so the rice (rice) is very influential to our health. You can Imagine how many milli grams of chemical elements into our bodies every day.

3. Protect the Children
Children are vulnerable to toxins than adults. A study conducted in 1980 concluded that on average children exposed to cancer-causing toxic ingredients four times more than in adults, where most come from the kinds of kid’s food that they eat. Choosing foods have an important effect on health of future children.

4. Protecting water quality, air and soil Consuming organic food means that we can participate in the restoration of ecosystems that have been damaged and to participate actively maintain the balance of nature. There are some toxins POP (Persistent Pollutant Org) to watch the result of the use of synthetic pesticides / chemicals other than DDT found in soil, air and water, among others are: aldrin, chlordane, dieldrin, endrin, heptachlor, mirex, toxaphenyl, hexachlorobenzene , PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), dioxins, furans.

5. Protecting the Agricultural Worker Health
By consuming organic products that assist in their struggle for a healthy work environment. Example cases:
a. 18 Population migration in North Lampung died from rat poison, tuberculosis or respiratory tract cancer.
b. 12 people in klaten farmer died from poison DDT.

6. Supports Local Farmers in Small scales
Helping our communities to achieve food security. Low price of conventional foods shows that agricultural workers do not receive a fair wage/income.

7. The taste of organic is better.
According to people who used to consume organic food, is more sweet and crunchy, and also more aromatic freshness fragrant, soft, and more durable.

One way to handle garbage is 3R, which is Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. In order to use the organic waste as compost. How do I make compost? Can we make it at home? At first you have to separate the organic and inorganic waste, you know what is organic waste? yes rotting garbage, such as leaves, trash from the kitchen, or leftovers and shredded into small pieces.

The next step is mix the waste that has been shredded by active material. The active material is “microorganisms” that could be taken from the ground in a drain, or bacteria than sold on the market (called EM4) into a container that is always enough air supply.

Trash containers stored into some place that have enough air circulation and always turn around every 2-3 days. When this piece of garbage become warmer, it is a sign that the process of compost formation worked well. After 3 weeks you can take the waste that has a dark brown color from the pile and it can be use as fertilizer for crops and your gardening.

The easiest way is using compost bin. Today, compost tumblers have replaced the necessity of daily work to make compost. This compost tumbler is to automatically keep everything aerated. Air is very important for the process and without the air, you will have little or no fertilizer for your crops and garden.

It is very little mess and it will function without to many maintenance. Some of tumbler have a manual crank and driven by solar power or electricity. Choose the type that fit to your needs.

One growing trend is a healthy food and organic. But Do we need to eat all organic foods and no longer to buy food or fruits that “ordinary”? Environmental Working Group answer this question by making a grocery shopping list to buy organic and not sufficiently comprehensive to fruits and vegetables which is often consumed. Short list you can see above this picture.

What would we have to reduce consumption of foods which contain pesticides. We also have to care because pesticides can interfere with our health, especially in children. Therefore, whenever possible buy organic foods in accordance with the list from the EWG, so no at all be organic. Some of organic that we do not have to buy in organic are onions, avocado, pineapples, mangoes, asparagus, bananas, kiwi, vegetable cabbage, broccoli and papaya.

In order to consume food that is clean and healthy, we should wash all fruits and vegetables before eating. Washing can decrease but not eliminate at all (information from the EWG). For a thin rind that you can rinse under the tap about 20-30 seconds. Fruit peel can reduce the content of pesticides but also sometimes even eliminate the essential nutrients contained in the fruit skin.

“3-R concept is the reduced (Reduse), using back and recycling (recycling) of the remains that is not useful.
All parties should implement the 3R concept of a consistent and sustainable as an effort to save the environment and maintaining environmental sustainability.

For that society should be encouraged to reduce the utilization of resources in carrying out various activities in everyday life. Also use back the remains of a useless becomes a useful object.

People need to be involved directly in efforts to reduce, reuse and recycling of goods that have been exploited. The effort can be done by a very simple, attractive and consistent. Socialization program for the serious attention especially as an attempt to embrace the community.

The use of biodiesel is being campaign by the government which is expected with this solution is the use of diesel fuel can be reduced because of the mix with diesel, which is the result of the oil palm oil, corn, soybeans, space, sugar cane, cassava, etc..

Human generations has been farming for their daily meals. Even today we still see a lack of food from some country. We still can not self-sufficient in food. With the growth of both sides of the human population and the car, if we will use some food items that need to be energy, whether we want to feed people or cars?

There will be no land, water or soil productive enough to be able to replace all our energy needs. Production of biodiesel itself also uses a lot of land and energy. Production of land plants such as palm oil or distance will require fertilizer made from natural gas results, the pesticide is also derived from oil, the input of energy such as fuel for tractors, trucks, and distillation plant. In addition, the land will also need to reduce water and soil fertility power.

When we see the energy used, the biodiesel will use more energy in the production stage compared with ordinary oil, from exploration wells to be used in the car.

With the competition between the need for human food and energy, so the supply is running low demand and high commodity prices will increase so that by the end of the chain then the final product sold to customers would be more expensive. For example, when palm oil prices rise, because oil palm is the basic ingredient for the manufacture of ice cream, biscuits, butter, cooking oil to soap and shampoo, it is conceivable consequences of CPO prices rose to around inflation and our economy.

Employers also with the price increase would be their incentive to plant more. And if our heterogeneous forest full of useful plants and animals that depend on these ecosystems, would be destroyed by the homogeneous forest of large plantations. Reforestation is also able to reduce the risk of fire.

The fire that burns itself is because no media that can withstand the heat of the earth. For example, the fire in the warehouse came from the pile of goods. Piles of goods in the warehouse over time remove the heat. Because there is nothing to absorb the heat, the fire had come.

The trees, is the media that absorbs heat released earth. Thus, there are piles of goods in the warehouse fire is not sparked.

Realizing the importance of greening the environment, in developed country campaign for citizens to do reforestation, at least in the front yard of each. It’s mean that one person, one tree. But, in one house, at least one tree.

In addition, it also gives regular tree to the citizens. The government should give various kinds of trees that is given to the public every few months.

Greening program is not only supported the authorities concerned. Party shopping center have to do the same thing. Through the Go Green program, they should distribute seeds and planting trees in the neighborhood mall. Shared tree types vary, ranging from the seeds of leafy plants, to plants.

In addition to planting trees, it is also conducted emission tests on a regular basis. They also can appeal to the visitors into green shopper using the shopping bag that is environmentally friendly and can be used in multiple times.
