As quoted from the press release Honda, Honda hybrid car will be released into the market on August 24, 2010 at a price of U.S. $ 19,950.

Honda hybrid cars are reminiscent of the Honda Civic CRX in the 90s, which is preferred among teenagers and young adults. This time it seems Honda is also targeting the same market. It is shown from hybrid design that clearly illustrates the spirit of youth.

Two-passenger car CR-Z is relying on six-speed manual transmission, although actually in the ranks of the CR-Z families have some type when viewed from the transmission and completeness.

CR-Z itself is available in two options, manual transmission and transmission CVT (continuously Variable Transmission) that makes the transfer of transmission will not be felt. CVT transmission CR-Z released a price of U.S. $ 20,700.

Besides the CR-Z also provides the type CR-Z EX (manual transmission and CVT) and CR-Z Honda EX equipped Satellite-Linked Navigation System and Voice Recognition. Unfortunately the last two types are only marketed in the United States.

CR-Z has several features, including AM / FM / CD / USB sound system, automatic climate control, remote, cruise control and power windows and lock. Safety factor is the priority on Honda. CR-Z hybrid version is equipped with an optional security features such as Antilock Braking System (ABS), airbags in front and side passenger and driver, the system monitors the air pressure in tires and many other security features.

From the side of the engine, the CR-Z is equipped with four-cylinder hybrid engine with a capacity of 1500 cc combustion chamber capable of producing 144 horsepower at 6000 rpm rotation and Honda electric motor system called Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) and produced 13.5 horsepower . Combination of the two machines are able to save significant fuel.

Can even be a producer of CO2 emissions if the refrigerant leakage occurs.

According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), energy laboratory owned by the United States Department of Energy, states that air conditioners consume a lot of vehicles used petrol nearly 6% of annual total United States demand. Approximately 25 billion liters of gasoline burned by the air conditioner continues to work while vehicles are still on the road.

The condition is exacerbated by leakage that may occur with the air conditioner will add 50 million metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.

The amount of gasoline consumed by air conditioning and much CO2 is released, making NREL should facilitate a program to make more efficient air conditioner.

Various methods and ideas have been tested by researchers at the laboratory. One of them is conditioned by adding a redesigned thermoelectric module and no longer use the refrigerant as working fluid. The other method is to use glass coatings and paints that can withstand sunlight and lowering temperatures by 34%.

NREL seem to prefer to try the first method, as evidenced by his cooperation with Ford’s plan that previously have received funding from the DOE to develop a thermoelectric system.

If the collaboration is to stage the production, then each vehicle would be far more fuel efficient.

Remarkably, biofuels are used as a mixture, cooking oil taken from the former fast-food restaurant.

According to police officials, these efficiency measures to deal with skyrocketing fuel prices. The car can run with a mixture of 40 percent diesel and 60 percent used cooking oil.

Currently, the police had tested a patrol car unit in the Makati business district. The Philippine government itself was involved in research and testing this.

If successful, while fast-food restaurants that contribute to oil marks a new McDonald’s so far. Other restaurants have also expressed readiness to contribute their used oil.

“This is a win-win solution for both parties benefit. Of used cooking oil can be recycled. While the police is an attempt saving.
Meanwhile, if the trials in successfully, it will recommend that all police patrol cars in the Philippines converted and use of fuel oil mixture.

Some companies have proven to develop a cheap car that uses air machine. The machine was developed by 2 companies at the forefront of the current Moteur Developpment International (MDI) in France and EngineAir in Melburne, Australia. The car is expected to be marketed due to faster battery price is still quite expensive to implement for the everyday car.

MDI and Engineair has its own uniqueness.

Car MDI injection system as usual with a piston engine and the crankshaft. This system then compress the air inside the engine to drive the piston and create a movement. MDI car can be a way to 350 km / h and very light. MDI cars in cooperation with the TATA Automotive in India hoping to be able to sell it at a price of EUR 8000.

Engine Water in Australia uses a different system of the rotary piston concept. The system is quite revolutionary when only using 1 psi of air pressure. In comparison, tires Isuzu Panther / Kijang using 33-37 psi pressure. So this machine requires only a little air pressure to move the piston and produce motion.

In the end, the draw is by using only air, the car does not pollute at all. EngineAir car has been used by the department of architecture at Melbourne and MDI will make consumers an affordable car.

Might not be long before these cars will be available in Indonesia. What could be more clean Jakarta from pollution?
